2012 farm tour

Over the past years, Fox Creek Farm has been active in outreach and education about direct marketing, organic farming practices, renewable energy and off-grid electrical systems. We've hosted on-farm tours for schools, the community, farmers, and agricultural leaders.

In 2010, we hosted an international agricultural delegation for the U.S. State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs International Visitor Leadership Program to discuss opportunities for local agriculture and direct marketing.

We also hosted a Farm Energy Field Day, co-sponsored by Cornell University's Small Farm Institute - to educate about the renewable energy systems on our farm, and the ways we conserve electrical energy.

In previous years, we educated school classes - touring the farm and learning how vegetables grow (and putting their hands on harvesting vegetables, too) - and visited classrooms with slides and vegetables to share,  enhancing the curriculum requirements.

If your group or school class looks for a farm to visit, or have us present at another location, please feel free to contact us.
