Fox Creek Farm is owned and operated by Sara and Raymond Luhrman, and is located in Gallupville, in the most eastern part of Schoharie County - about 25 miles SW of downtown Albany. The farm, established in 2001, started with a wholesale crop of garlic and has grown into a 300 member CSA.

The farm started on rented land, but by 2007 we stopped all outside work to make a living from the farm. By then, Fox Creek Farm moved to owned land – 34 acres of rich Lansing soils that are part of a larger historic 100 acre deed. The farm is leasing an additional 20 acres of the farm to provide ample space for crop rotations.

Our well established CSA operation started in 2004, and will be celebrating its 10th season in 2013. It’s our goal to operate an environmentally sustainable and economically viable farm, that provides outstanding quality vegetables to our customers for the years to come, and provides the farmers and farm workers with a reasonable compensation for their work. Our farming practices maintain or increase soil health and productivity. We use organic farming practices.

The farm employs two full time farmers, and at the peak of the season up to six part-time farm hands - which makes us one of the bigger employers in our town.  At this time we cultivate approximately 14 acres, of which about 10 acres are in vegetables, and the balance in cover crops - providing the farm with space for thorough crop rotations.

Support a viable, small family farm and eat some of the best locally grown produce available!
